Pumpkin French Toast

Prep: 10 minutes
Yield: 8 servings

  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup of canned or freshly cooked pumpkin
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp pf brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 16 slices of stale bread or croissants
  • 5 tbsp of butter
Mix together all ingredients except bread & butter. Soak pieces of stale bread in the wet mixture, & fry in butter until both sides are browned.

This sounds really good. I have never made french toast before, so here is my stupid question...Does the bread really need to be stale?

Nope, fresh works just as well.
